Lady Maral, Countess of Ingmire, is the Minister of State, Head of the Foreign Office, and Lady High Solicitor for the Kingdom of Bowtudgel.

As head of the Foreign Office, her most pressing goal at the moment is the looming war between Silera and Neptelisa. Which doesn't have anything to do with Lance's Glorious Quest™ to Rescue the Princess™. Probably.

Lady Maral was born a commoner from the town of Icahaporbo. She came to prominence as a lawyer (Icahaporbo has a rather higher degree of litigation than the rest of the kingdom), eventually gaining notice of Queen Paudchun who appointed her as attorney royal. King Telcar appointed her as Lady High Solicitor when he assumed the throne, granting her a noble title (a landed title, in fact, though a trivial one: Ingmire is the name of a mountain in the Arbier range) in the process. She became one of his closest advisors.

Later, he appointed her as Minister of State, which accounts for most of her present duties.

Lance, this is Lady Maral. It's nothing to worry about at the moment, but I wanted you to know that the Foreign Office just received some intelligence about the Ricohedron that connects it to the Princess Carmeana's kidnapping. We don't know much, but we have confirmed the Ricohedron went through the hands of a crime syndicate based in Ethostoia. This is a big development, and means at some point you'll likely have to infiltrate that syndicate as part of your Glorious Quest™. This is just a heads up.
