Margaret is a woman who lives in Borringshire, near the town of Borrington. She's an amateur treasure hunter, who has spent many years searching for a fabled and mysterious treasure that King Argnod had personally discovered on an expedition to the Far East, and brought back to Bowtudgel, only for it to be stolen by pirates.

Though the pirates were captured, the treasure has never been found. Margaret has dedicated her life to finding that fabled treasure.
